Darjeeling Car Rental Service is owned and run by Migmar Tsering, and he answers the phone himself. Message the number on this site and you are not going through a call centre or a booking desk — you are talking to the man who will assign your car, brief your driver, and pick up again if something changes at seven in the morning on the road out of Darjeeling.
Migmar has been running vehicles on these routes since 2004. Two decades in the same hills means knowing which viewpoint clears first in October, how long Tsomgo really takes when the permit queue is long, and which drivers to trust with a family on a night descent from Tiger Hill. That kind of judgement is not something a booking platform can supply.
It also means the standard is personal. The fleet is owned rather than sub-contracted, the drivers are local men he knows by name, and the price he quotes is the price you pay. If something goes wrong there is no department to escalate to — there is Migmar, and a reputation built one guest at a time across Darjeeling, Kalimpong and Sikkim.
